Old West Museum Announces Art Exhibit | New

The 41st The annual Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Invitational Western Art Exhibition and Sale will take place from Thursday, July 21 through August 14. The Western Art Exhibit showcases the nation’s finest Western artists who bring the celebration, heritage, and outlook of the American West to life.

The opening reception begins at 3:30 p.m. on July 21 with the ticket holder preview. At 4:30 p.m., guests will board a bus for hors d’oeuvres on the lawn of the Government House. The exhibition and Jump-the-Gun will open at 6:00 p.m. at the Museum. With Jump-the-Gun, customers can immediately purchase artwork at a premium price. To end the evening, we will have our draw at 7 p.m. and a western dinner with live music.

If you miss the opening reception, you will still have the opportunity to view and/or purchase artwork when the Western Art exhibition opens to the public on Friday, July 22 and will remain open until August 14.

Admission to the Invitational Western Art Show on July 21:

  • Member/volunteer: $165
  • Non-member: $185

Admission to the Western Art Show from July 22 to August 15:

  • Included with museum admission
