The Taube Museum of Art is officially launching its 2021-2022 year of Children’s Art Classes, offering a diverse range of classes for all ages, starting from 9 months. Classes are held from October to May and fees vary. To register for classes, visit and access the Education section, call 701-838-4445, or drop by the museum during regular business hours.

A Start In Art takes place every two months on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 9:30 am. Children listen to stories, are visited by different zoo animals and work on related art projects. This program is designed for children aged 9 months to 5 years.

Art All Around is a step above your traditional art class and is aimed at children who are interested in artistic exploration. Students will complete their own masterpiece during each session. Classes are held every two months on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. and are designed for children ages 7 and up.

Paint a Purple Cow is an art class specifically designed for homeschooled children. This monthly program gives kids the opportunity to see the current exhibit, learn about a famous artist, and then participate in a related art activity. Classes are held monthly on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Museum and shop hours: Tuesday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment. Admission is free, but contributions are accepted to help the Taube Museum fulfill its mission of enriching lives through the visual arts.
